Coming to, and participating at Workbridge is "home from home" for many of our service users.

Covid-19 measures have brought new challenges for us, and with the temporary closure of our day sessions, we are adapting to new ways of supporting our service users at home.

As part of our ongoing support to service users, we have been:

  • making regular phone calls to talk and chat with those who live alone.
  • We are setting challenges via themed activity packs in the post that are helping people keep active and creative at home.
  • Our garden centre has delivered plants to care homes to aid gardening during lockdown.
  • And we’ve been creating assembly packs in our woodwork department, for service users to pick up and make at home.

It has been great to hear back how the activities are helping people learn skills during this lockdown, aiding carers and providing a welcome familiarity at home.

"Morgan has been working on all your activities over the last few weeks. Here are some photos of the cakes she made and the mock cocktail she enjoyed. Thank you for the activities that have kept Morgan going over this difficult time!"

"I just want to say thank you for all the home work you’ve been sending me. I hope everyone at Workbridge is okay?"

"The worksheets are good, useful, and helping with distracting from worrying about the news".

"They are something to do together. I am enjoying colouring and word searches".

"Many thanks for the activities, Luke has enjoyed most".
