Thank you to everyone who voted for us in the Community Matters Scheme at Waitrose in Wootton during September!

Voting is over and the green tokens have been counted up…

We’re really pleased to announce a donation of £560 from Waitrose to Workbridge.

The Community Matters scheme is run each month by Waitrose branches and donates £1000 to three local good causes. Our thank you in particular goes to a special supporter of ours who made the application for Workbridge earlier this summer with Waitrose.

Helen Wright, Head of Workbridge said of the donation amount: “Our charity has been supporting people for almost 40 years and we’re incredibly proud of the work we do here to help people with life and work skills.

During my visits to Waitrose, I’ve been amazed by the local support we have received. I’d like to thank everyone for taking the time to visit and voting for us at the checkout. This means so much to our service users”.

The donation from Waitrose will go towards raising funds for garden furniture and a water feature for an outdoor social area for service users at Workbridge.

Workbridge is a specialist vocational centre that offers work and life skills for people with mental illness, brain injuries, ASD or learning disabilities. Through a variety of different workshops, including our garden centre and award winning café, we provide people the opportunity to develop their confidence and learn new skills.
