Many of our service users, who are also residents of local care homes, are receiving plant donations from Workbridge Garden Centre to support their wellbeing during covid-19 isolation.

Workbridge Garden Centre has delivered over a hundred plants across 7 care homes in Northamptonshire to help support service users in isolation.

Helen Wright, Head of Workbridge said,

“Before lockdown, the Workbridge garden centre was a hub of activity, with service users helping our talented Vocational Skills Instructors raise plants for the busy gardening year ahead.

With the enforced UK lockdown, a lot of our community service users living in community housing or residential care are self-isolating and cannot see friends and family. Gardening gives people so much pleasure, and we wanted to give back and support our service users with an activity that brings a smile to their face. We look forward to seeing pictures of the gardens you have created!”

Look out for Senior VSI Phil and Horticulture TI Trudy who have been delivering the plants!
