In Workbridge Horticulture we provide people with varied abilities, the opportunity to develop 'green fingers'!
People are helped to develop general life skills as well as learn and practice specific horticulture techniques.

General life skills might include:

• Learning to work as part of a team
• Learning to speak and act appropriately with the general public
• Cleaning skills of both equipment and environments
• Time keeping - personal presentation
• Communication skills - personal health and safety

Horticultural techniques might include:

• sowing seeds
• Potting on/pricking out
• Taking cuttings and propagating
• Watering and feeding
• Top dressing
• Weeding
• Hard landscaping
• Customer care/retail skills
• Shop presentation
• Shop restocking

Through our clients hard work we are able to run a successful nursery and garden centre. This provides a retail outlet for the plants that are produced in the workshop.
