NEW WORKBRIDGE SHOP OPENS
The fitting out of the new Workbridge shop has now been completed and the Friends of Workbridge are working hard to ensure that the shop is fully stocked and properly dressed before the opening day on Wednesday 22nd April.
Opening hours will be from 10am to 3pm on every day of the week except Sunday.
The shop will carry a wide range of carefully selected used ladies and gents clothing, hardback and paperback books, videos, CDs, DVDs, ornaments, household goods and other miscellaneous items. A fitting room has been provided to enable customers to try on clothing before purchase.
The shop will also display and sell the full range of products made by Service Users at Workbridge. These will include a wide variety of ceramic ware produced in the highly successful Workbridge pottery, and the very popular range of wooden garden furniture manufactured in the Woodwork department. All of these products are competitively priced.
This new venture is another addition to the services provided by Workbridge which enable Service Users to gain important skills in dealing with the public in a retail environment, while encouraging community support and understanding. The success of the Garden Centre and the Coffee Shop has been built on this premise, and once the new shop is up and running this will provide further opportunities for Service User participation.
